I am an academic in the study of religion, researching and teaching in the fields of contemporary world Christianity, religion in Africa, and religion, gender and sexuality. The focus of my research is on Christianity as a public religion in contemporary African societies, particularly in relation to issues of gender, sexuality and politics.
